The event brings the community together during Ramadan to celebrate the holiest month in the Islamic calendar.

The educational evening will feature a discussion about Ramadan by Imam Ahmad Deeb, the Imam and Director of Religious Affairs at the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo. A Middle Eastern meal inside the dining hall will follow.

"During the month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world fast from sunrise to sunset in order to develop their spirituality, discipline, and healthy habits," said Hoda Elahinia, co-president of the Muslim Student Association. "After sunset, friends, and families gather together in order to pray together and break their fast. This meal is called the ‘Iftar.' This event is an important step not only in educating our community about the values of Muslim students in the MV community but also in celebrating those values and making our Muslim students feel like a valuable part of our community."

You can register for the event at this link and the cost is $5, payable at the door.
